This Privacy Policy explains how Khan AI collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Khan AI website, checkout flow, support, and Intel, the Competitive Intelligence Agent.
1. Summary
Intel is designed to run locally on your machine. Khan AI does not operate a hosted customer-data platform for Intel reports. In normal use, your business configuration, API keys, review analysis, and generated reports stay on your machine unless you choose to send them to Khan AI for support.
Khan AI may still collect limited information through the website, checkout, email, support, analytics, and third-party payment systems.
2. Information we collect
Khan AI may collect:
- Contact information, such as name, email address, business name, and messages you send.
- Purchase information, such as product purchased, payment status, invoice details, and transaction metadata.
- Support information, such as installation details, troubleshooting messages, screenshots, logs, or files you choose to share.
- Website information, such as pages visited, browser type, device information, referral source, and approximate location if collected by hosting or analytics tools.
- Communications, such as emails, replies, and onboarding messages.
Khan AI does not intentionally collect full credit card numbers. Payments are handled by Stripe or another payment processor.
3. Information Intel stores locally
Intel may store information on your machine, including:
- Business name and location.
- Competitor names or URLs.
- Public review data retrieved during analysis.
- Generated reports and summaries.
- Configuration files.
- Optional schedule settings for recurring reports.
- AI provider settings.
You are responsible for securing your own device, local files, and API keys.
4. AI API keys and third-party providers
Intel may require you to provide your own API key for an AI provider such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Grok, DeepSeek, or another supported provider.
Khan AI does not control how your AI provider processes data. When Intel sends prompts, review text, business information, or report context to your chosen AI provider, that provider's terms and privacy policy apply.
You should review your AI provider's settings, retention policies, and usage costs before using Intel.
5. Public review data
Intel may process public reviews from sources such as Google and Yelp. Public review content may include personal information posted by reviewers. You are responsible for using reports and exported content in a lawful and respectful way.
6. How we use information
Khan AI may use information to:
- Process purchases and deliver Intel.
- Provide onboarding and support.
- Respond to questions.
- Troubleshoot installation or product issues.
- Improve the website, documentation, and product.
- Track outreach, sales, and customer relationships.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and misuse.
- Comply with legal obligations.
7. How we share information
Khan AI may share limited information with:
- Payment processors, such as Stripe.
- Email and communication providers.
- Website hosting providers.
- Analytics or logging tools, if used.
- Contractors or service providers helping Khan AI operate the business.
- Legal, regulatory, or law enforcement parties if required by law or needed to protect rights, safety, or security.
Khan AI does not sell customer personal information.
8. Customer reports and support files
If you send Khan AI a report, log file, screenshot, API error, review data, or other support material, Khan AI may use it to troubleshoot and improve Intel. Do not send sensitive information unless it is necessary for support.
Before sharing logs or screenshots, remove API keys, passwords, private customer details, and other confidential information when possible.
9. Cookies and analytics
The Khan AI website may use cookies or similar technologies for basic website functionality, analytics, checkout, fraud prevention, or performance measurement. Third-party services such as Stripe may use their own cookies during checkout.
10. Data retention
Khan AI keeps information for as long as reasonably needed to operate the business, provide support, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Local Intel data stays on your machine until you delete it or uninstall Intel, subject to your operating system and backups.
11. Security
Khan AI uses reasonable safeguards for information it controls, but no system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for securing your device, accounts, API keys, backups, and local files.
12. Your choices
You may contact Khan AI to request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal information that Khan AI controls. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, or operational reasons.
You can delete local Intel files from your machine, subject to the uninstall instructions and your own backups.
13. Children
Intel and the Khan AI website are not intended for children under 13. Khan AI does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
14. International users
Khan AI is operated from the United States. If you access the website or use Intel from another country, you understand that information may be processed in the United States or by third-party providers in other locations.
15. Changes
Khan AI may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on the website or otherwise made available.
